Because its the season...

 
Anno-imo
I had to post this, because its sweet potato season, and various areas in Japan are famous for the sweetest and tastiest ripe sweet potatoes...

It's called "Anno-imo", from the Kyushu (South) area of Japan. It's distinctive feature is the texture, the moist smoothness, similiar to the creamy texture of the perfectly fine mashed potato.
